I am a Gentleman and the Dreamer, the Knight and the Writer.
I forever will be the hoper of far-flung hopes and dreamer of impossible dreams.

...I like Macaroni and Cheese?
...guess that's it for the bio...

Stone-in-the-Wood always had a bustle of activity, either of nature so beautifully communicating with itself, or of the Stonewood populace in their daily tasks.  Nature today was quiet. The populace was preparing for war.  Rian had to get away to settle himself. So many things had happened in the past few days, so many losses and turn of events. He knew that if he didn't have a little peace for a few moments, he was going to lose it in front of everyone.  And he knew just the place to rest. If it wasn't crowded already.  A little way off from Stone-in-the-Wood, there was a clearing that was called Lone Fire Clearing. On the right, you had the craggy rocks that were the natural barrier of the clan's dwelling, and on the left and front, you had deep forest. There was a fire pit with sitting boulders around it, and it was an unsaid rule for the party who used the fire pit last to refill it with fresh wood.  It was a place of either contemplation and quiet, or a place of music.

(If you're wondering about #1, it's on my personal Facebook Page. ^^; I'll post it later.) One of the annoying yet generally accepted tropes of Science Fiction today and days passed is that an entire planet's population behaves precisely the same way; if you're seeing one Zoffloffamoff being haughty, expect all Zoffloffamoffs to be haughty. (I mean, with a name like that, you can take pride you can say your species name even drop-dead drunk.) It's indeed been recognized as fallback writing, and some shows even in the same run say "Surprise! Here's a group of Vulcans that will hug you and they emote! ... they're also the terrorists of the epi

Portal AU: Chell’s Recollection    "Goo mormum! Hoo have been asleep for..." At first, she thought she was dreaming and the distorted voice was a recounting of her wakeup call from a few minutes ago. But then again, she hadn't dreamed during her sleep before the wakeup call. And her body hurt. Her back felt as if she had been lying on old carpet for fifty years, her head was swimming, and she felt so stiff she wondered how she didn't creak as she raised an arm to block out the light of the bright television screen. Which brought to her attention it was the ONLY light on in the entire room. It had been a bright, tropical yellow the la
